Industry Pros Gather for IT Nation – Cybersecurity a Top Priority

As information technology professionals gather in Orlando, Florida for one of the IT industry’s biggest conferences – cybersecurity stands out as a key priority.

The 15th IT Nation Connect conference will pull together more than 3,000 representatives of companies that sell, support, and service technology Oct. 30th – Nov. 1 in Orlando, Fla. Avast Business will be there to discuss the issue of cybersecurity, which a new survey says is a major concern of IT pros.

Most IT and security pros say they could not afford all of the minimum security needed to protect themselves, Dark Reading reported last week. More than half (56%) of the respondents in the survey had experienced a significant security event – a breach, intrusion, or malware infection - in the past year.
